About Us

Carla Burton has been in ministry throughout her life, being raised in a Pastor’s home. When she was 9-years-old, she became a missionary kid and joined her parents in the Philippine Islands. She attended Jackson College of Ministries where she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music. While there she met her husband, J. Kurtis Burton, and eventually they became the Pastors of The Turning Point Church located in Madison (North Nashville), TN. She became a licensed minister with the UPCI in 2016. Although gifted and used in music, her true passion is to see people’s lives transformed by gaining an illumination from the Bible. It was with this desire, that A Passion Approach ministry was developed. Her prayer is that each heart would approach the resources available here with an open, receptive and passionate heart. If we have a passion approach then we will see a transformed life.
